VIDEO: Team Luton attact Olympians to Open Meet

High-profile Olympians were among the entries at Team Luton SC’s Autumn Long Course Open Meet at the Inspire Luton Sports Village recently.

A high quality field included the likes of 2012 Olympic swimmer Daniel Fogg and Paralympic swimmers James Hollis and Ellie Simmonds.

The meet was attended by more than 600 swimmers from over 60 different clubs, travelling from as far as Edinburgh, Inverness and Cornwall.

Team Luton’s squad were in great form as they set a number of PBs, regional and national qualifying times.

Head coach Pete Woodbridge said: “I was delighted with the performance of our swimmers and the quality of the meet.

“The high quality of swimming clearly helped Team Luton swimmers reach new standards and it was exceptionally pleasing to get so many regional times plus national qualifying times.”
