Woolley and Caton land large commons

Mark Woolley and Sam Caton were fishing the Grand Union Canal near Leighton Buzzard and despite the cold conditions both caught as Woolley landed a 14lb 4oz common and Caton a 13lb 8oz common, with both fish coming to small Starmer and Nash hi viz pop-ups.

On the South Lagoon, Eric Jones fishing with his own Red Eric Baits beat the club 14-year-old mirror record with a 35lb fish which was witnessed by the bailiff and weighed on three sets of scales.
