World champion Hanson is pitch perfect

THERE was red hot action all the way at the Luton & District Moto-Cross event at Old Park Farm, Toddington, on Sunday, with an entry from ex-double British Champion and World Grand Prix rider Greg Hanson, along with a plethora of other riders.

Although Hanson is now a team manager and normally competes in veteran class racing, his pace, skill and pedigree proved too much for the Luton regulars.

Hanson’s determination from the start gate to get to the front was breathtaking.

Riding a rough wide line into turn three he grabbed the lead and was never headed despite some spirited but short-lived attacks from riders half his age.
