National Bowl Drive-In shows cancelled due to localised Coronavirus lockdown fears
The Utilita Live From The Drive-In series was set to feature acts including The Streets, Gary Numan, Beverley Knight and Ash between the end of July and September.
However, the 21 Milton Keyes shows – along with others originally due to take place at venues across the UK – have now all been cancelled due to local lockdown fears.
A statement on the Utilita website reads: “Utilita Live From The Drive-In series will no longer take place in the summer of 2020.
“We had worked tirelessly on exciting plans for what was promising to be a fantastic couple of months of entertainment across the UK.
“However, we fully understand and support the necessary decision to cancel due to concerns over localised lockdowns.”
All of the information about the shows on promoter Live Nation’s website have been removed and is currently only showing a ‘404’ page error message.
As well as live music, there was set to be West End theatre performances and science shows.
The shows were originally billed as a “one-of-a-kind drive-in setting,” where fans would watch from their own viewing zones next to their cars at.
Refunds for fans who have already booked tickets are expected to be issued in the coming days.
