Sundon Park Library, Wigmore Library and the Mobile Library are all closing on January 31 next year.
Visitors to these libraries over the next six weeks will be given an information booklet about how the changes to the library service may affect them.
The booklet contains information for affected library users about how to reach their two closest libraries by public transport and car, as well as how to use Luton Libraries Online.
All library services are available at the six remaining libraries, including free internet access and regular children’s activities such as Bookstart Rhyme Times, as well as access to books, information and expert help from librarians.
The Home Library Service continues to serve those who struggle to get to their local library.
It is a free monthly delivery service for the elderly and those with a disability or mobility problems.
If anyone struggles to visit their local library, or knows someone who does, they can call 01582 491428 to find out more about how the Home Library Service could help them.
Luton Libraries Online allows users to renew and reserve library books from across Bedfordshire from any computer, tablet or smart phone, as well as download e-books and audio books.
Anyone needing help determining their closest library can call 01582 547418 or visit www.lutonlibraries.co.uk. Alternatively, staff at their current local library will be able to offer help or advice.
