There’s a big selection of entertainment coming up at Luton Cineworld in the next month - on top of the usual selection of blockbuster movies.
It kicks off on Thursday, March 26, with National Theatre Live: A View from the Bridge, which is being shown at 7pm.
Mark Strong steps into the role of Eddie Carbone in the Young Vic’s dynamic new staging of Arthur Miller’s classic play.
Eddie is a Brooklyn longshoreman who welcomes his Sicilian cousins to America. However, tensions flare when one of them falls for his beautiful niece, exposing long buried secrets that will change the family forever.
A dark examination of the American Dream, Arthur Miller’s play is regarded as a masterpiece of tragedy, and actor Mark Strong (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) has worked closely with director Ivo van Hove to craft this gripping production.
Looking further ahead and the theatre, opera and event cinema line-up continues on Wednesday, April 1 with Royal Opera: Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny (7.15pm).
On Thursday, April 16 (7pm) its National Theatre Live: The Hard Problem, with Bolshoi Ballet: Ivan the Terrible hitting the screen on Saturday, April 19 (4pm), followed by Met Opera: Cavalleria Rusticana/Pagliacci on Saturday, April 25 (5.30pm).
