Right in the heart of the town centre, our markets offer local people the chance to discover something different every week. From fresh bread, cakes and pastries to specialist cheeses, award-winning pies, fresh fish and delicious hot food, there is something to tempt everyone.

Every Wednesday at Bites on The Square, The Cheese and Pie Man brings a wonderful selection of quality cheeses and pies. Based in Dedham, in the heart of Constable Country, the family business has been selling cheese and pies for more than 20 years. With access to more than 800 cheeses from across the UK and Europe, cheese lovers are certainly spoilt for choice, alongside their award-winning pies made with local, free-range ingredients.

East Point Fish also joins us every Wednesday, bringing fresh fish, seafood and smoked fish directly from Lowestoft. Brown Bread Bakery has also joined the Wednesday food offer. Established in 2007, this family-run artisan bakery from Ingatestone, Essex, offers more than 300 products, including sourdough, morning goods and pastries.

And there is more to come, with a new hot food trader joining Bites on The Square from November, bringing delicious Jamaican hot street food to Dunstable every Wednesday.

Over at Middle Row Markets, the ever-popular Bread on The Rise joins us with freshly baked bread, cakes and pastries. Local bakers also regularly bring cakes, cookies and sweet treats, making the market a great place to pick up something special.

This autumn sees the return of Aunty Satya with its traditional Durban-style home-ground curry masala, while Chilli Pete brings award-winning, 100 per cent natural artisan chilli sauces.

For hot food lovers, our popular Jerk Chicken trader brings Caribbean flavours to the market, while Belna & Grill serves fresh doubles, roti wraps and homemade Caribbean curries. The Little Shop of Cheese joins us once a month, and Italian Indulgence brings a taste of Italy with food, wine, cheeses, cured meats and cannoli filled with imported ricotta.

With so much choice, our markets are a great way to support independent businesses, meet the traders and discover fantastic food. Come along this autumn and enjoy a feast of independent flavours right here in the heart of Dunstable.
