Luton BID unveils festive programme to support town centre businesses
Luton BID is inviting residents, families and visitors to enjoy a packed programme of free festive activities this Christmas, with a series of events designed to create a vibrant atmosphere in the town centre while supporting local businesses during one of the busiest trading periods of the year.

The festivities begin on Saturday 21 November at Luton Council's annual Christmas Lights Switch-On. As part of its contribution to the event, Luton BID will be funding personal appearances by PAW Patrol’s Chase and Marshall. They will appear at intervals at Frasers Plus Luton and at Luton Town Hall as part of the Christmas Lights Celebrations.
On Saturday 5 December, Luton BID will celebrate Small Business Saturday with its festive Hunt the Hamper competition. Visitors will be encouraged to explore the town centre for the chance to win a hamper filled with goodies from local businesses, helping to showcase the variety of independent retailers and services available in Luton.

Following its successful debut last year, the much-loved reindeer experience returns to Hat Gardens on Saturday 12 December. The family-friendly event gives visitors the chance to meet real-life reindeer and enjoy a magical festive day out, while spending time in the town centre and supporting local businesses.
The programme concludes on Saturday 19 December with festive Christmas carols and the opportunity to step inside a giant walk-in snow globe. Visitors will be able to pose for photos inside the attraction, creating the perfect festive keepsake to share with friends and family.
Julia Horsman, Luton BID Manager, said: "Christmas is such an important time for our town centre businesses, and we're delighted to be bringing a range of festive experiences to Luton. From appearances from Chase and Marshall and real reindeer to our giant snow globe and Hunt the Hamper competition, we're creating opportunities for families to enjoy the town centre while supporting local businesses.
These events are all about encouraging people to shop local, spend time in the town centre and discover the fantastic range of businesses we have in Luton. By creating memorable experiences and increasing footfall, we're helping our businesses make the most of this vital trading period and bringing some extra festive cheer to the town centre."
Residents and visitors are encouraged to follow Luton BID's social media channels for event updates and further details in the lead-up to Christmas.
