I’m an SEO and trends writer for National World and creating content for publications across the UK including Birmingham World, Manchester World and the Yorkshire Evening Post. I write a mixture of national and regional content and specialise in music, politics and lifestyle. Originally from Sunderland, I have an English and Journalism degree from Coventry University and started my journalism career at Cambrian News in Aberystwyth. I’ve written several pieces which I am proud of over the years, including interviewing the team at Sunderland Community Soup Kitchen about the work they do to support homeless people in the city. I have also reported on cricket matches from county level up to international matches. I have covered the finals of both the Royal London One Day Cup and The Hundred and will be covering the Ashes in 2023. I write a lot in my own time and this includes writing for fan websites of the team I support, Sunderland AFC, and also a book about the club which was published in 2020. I am also in the process of writing a fiction novel. I am a big sports fan, following football, cricket and darts. I regularly watch Sunderland AFC and get to cricket matches when I can. I have also recently joined a cricket team which plays in and around Northamptonshire and Warwickshire.
