Man arrested for sexual assault in Luton town centre

The reports were made at around 1.30pm on Wednesday, September 2 – and now police are calling for people to come forward.

Investigating officer Dean Canwell said: “We understand that incidents like these can be distressing and concerning, and we are carrying out a thorough investigation.

“I would encourage anyone who was in Luton town centre on September 2 and may have witnessed any of these incidents, or experienced anything themselves, to please come forward and report it to us.”

He added: “No one deserves to feel unsafe or be subjected to unwanted contact.

“We know some people may be reluctant to report incidents like this because they may feel they are too minor to warrant police action.

“However, behaviour of this nature can escalate, and every piece of information helps us build a clearer picture of what has happened.”
