Police renew appeal in murder investigation as three Luton men arrested
Police have renewed their appeal as part of a murder investigation after a footballer died from his injuries following an assault
Ezekiel Williams, aged 26, from London, who played for non-league football club Hendon FC, died after being attacked in Midsummer Boulevard in the early hours of Sunday, November 1.
A Home Office post-mortem investigation into Ezekiel’s death found the preliminary cause of death to be a head injury.
Two men, aged 21 and 28, both from Luton, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody. A third man, aged 30 and also from Luton, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released on conditional court bail.

Police are renewing their appeal for information about the incident, with senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Rob Underhill saying: “We are continuing to support the family of Ezekiel, and our thoughts remain with them, and all of Ezekiel’s close circle of friends.
“It is clear from tributes that have been paid that he was a hugely respected and loved person, and we are determined to ascertain the circumstances around his death.
“We have made three arrests in connection with this investigation.
“I am today appealing again for any witnesses who may not yet have spoken to police to please get in touch with us.
“We have been reviewing CCTV and evidential material from the incident but are keen to speak to anybody who witnessed the incident, which occurred shortly before 2am on Sunday morning.
“Did you witness any altercation, particularly around the area of The Hub in Midsummer Boulevard.
"Did you capture anything on mobile phones or dashcam? If so, and you have not contacted us, I would urge you to please do so.”
