Traitors Faithful James Blunt stops off at Luton Airport for album promotion

Hot on the heels of his Celebrity Traitors appearance, singer James Blunt dropped in to Luton Airport.

The singer, best known for hits including You’re Beautiful, was welcomed by staff at the airport as he filmed a series of videos across the terminal to promote his latest album, Airplane Mode, released today (November 6).

Clare Armstrong, head of guest experience at London Luton Airport, said: "We were delighted that James chose London Luton Airport as the backdrop to promote his new album.

"It was fantastic to see colleagues from across the airport being such good sports and they did a wonderful job of showcasing the simple and friendly passenger experience we look to deliver every day.

She added: "We all wish James every success with the new album."

James Blunt said: "The London Luton Airport team was kind enough to let me in to film some wonderful promotional material for my new album and we were looked after brilliantly.

"The energy and enthusiasm of both staff and passengers really added to the fun and I think we've created something that will make people smile."

The album's title, Airplane Mode, is a reference to switching off from the constant noise of outside connections and focusing on what matters.

James Blunt added: "I hope it's on the playlist of millions of LLA passengers this year!"

During his visit he also took the time to pose for a picture with Luton Airport Police Unit.

But with five people in the photograph and only one James Blunt, the airport team couldn't resist bringing a little bit of The Traitors into the mix.

Sharing the picture on social media, the team joked: “Who can we trust?”

Thankfully, there was no need for a round table, secret missions or dramatic banishments, as officers were simply carrying out their duties to help keep passengers safe.

The post added: “James might be going into Airplane Mode… but our officers remain firmly in Police Mode. No banishments. No secret missions. Just airport policing.”

And of course as TV viewers will know, the singer-songwriter was, and always had been, a Faithful.
