Manny battles to second victory
Luton-based American boxer Manny Muhammad won his second professional bout with a points victory over Lithuania’s Ernastas Dapkus at York Hall on Saturday.
The 32-year-old took the win as referee Lee Murtagh scored the fight 39-37 in his favour.
Muhammed admitted a difficult training regime had affected his performance, as he said: “It has been a huge challenge for me what with just finishing Ramadan, where I was fasting all day and having to train at about midnight.
“It was a big ask on me mentally and physically, but the bigger the task the more determined I become.”
