Luton boxer Kay Prosper is looking to win the European Super Lightweight title when he fights Sandor Martin in Barcelona this evening.

The 36-year-old English Super Lightweight title-holder will go up against a more experienced opponent who has 37 wins and two defeats on his record, compared to Prosper’s 14 victories, one draw and one loss.

The event will be shown live on DAZN, as speaking to the Matchroom YouTube page, Prosper, whose last fight came over a year ago, said of the rearranged bout that was originally scheduled for March: “I’ve been in the gym, working on my craft and I’ve been fortunate enough to go out and do some camps over with Dillian Whyte over in Portugal.

“I’ve been impressed with Sandor, he’s got a lot of skill-sets, got good experience, boxed at this level for a good few years now, but me and my team, we’ve highlighted his flaws and it’s down to me to go out there and exploit them.

“He’s ranked seventh in the world,so we’re not under-estimating him. We know that he’s a threat and brings a lot to the table, but the fact is he hasn’t fought me.

“This is my time, I feel like it’s written in the stars. Everything is aligned and now I’ve had even more time, I think I can go out there and do a job.”
