The hosts took the lead after just six minutes when Kelvin Bossman blasted the head with an opportunistic strike.

Blues looked to get back into the game as there was some fine play involving Watkins, Marsh and David Hutton.

Both Daniel May and David Lynn saw their roles as attacking full-backs, while Jemale McKenzie-Lowe showed promise upfront.

Hutton forced Waders keeper Ian Brown into a good save, while Biggleswade threatened occasionally, only to be denied by visiting defenders Luke Riddick and Shane Blackett.

McKenzie-Lowe was also foiled by Brown, with Steven Gregory putting another effort well over.

Lynn then set up McKenzie-Lowe for another chance that he wasted, while Scott Davies had a free kick saved by Brown.

The Blues forced a number of corners as Marsh had a shot blocked, as Biggleswade led 1-0 at the break.

In the second period, Waders’ went close through Lee Allinson, but Dunstable began to reassert themselves.

Marsh was inches wide, before Watkins had to be replaced by Ryan Hope.

The Blues kept pushing though as McKenzie-Lowe was off target and Hutton was also denied by Brown.

However, Waders then made it 2-0 on with 14 minutes to go as Allinson gleefully slotted home.

Dunstable though reduced the deficit immediately as Hutton’s blistering shot finally beat Brown.
