

FEATURE: How the 18 Championship play-off winners have done in their first Premier League season
Luton Town reached the Premier League last season after beating Coventry City on penalties in the Championship play-off final at Wembley.
They became the 18th side to do so following the second tier being rebranded from the First Division at the start of the 2004-05 campaign.

17. 2006-07: Watford - 20th
Having eased past Leeds 3-0 in Cardiff to reach the top flight, the Hornets didn’t win in their first 10 games as they managed just one victory before Christmas. 18. 2005-06: West Ham - 9th
West Ham saw off Preston in the play-off final of the rebranded Championship, having a terrific start to the Premier League, with five wins by November. Picked up a superb five consecutive victories between January and February, which set them up for a marvellous season, also reaching the FA Cup final.
