Luton Town reached the Premier League last season after beating Coventry City on penalties in the Championship play-off final at Wembley.
They became the 18th side to do so following the second tier being rebranded from the First Division at the start of the 2004-05 campaign.
To find out just how those teams have got on in their first campaign as a top flight, check out the gallery below.

13. 2010-11: Blackpool - 19th
After beating Cardiff in the play-off final, with Luton boss Rob Edwards on the bench, the Tangerines looked like they might upset the odds and stay up after winning seven matches before Christmas, including beating Liverpool and Newcastle. Did the double over the Reds, but two wins from January 15 onwards saw them face a last day relegation decider at Manchester United. Despite leading 2-1, the Red Devils hit back to triumph 4-2 and end up a point adrift of Wolves who stayed up. Photo: Shaun Botterill

14. 2009-10: Burnley - 18th
Beating Sheffield United to reach the top flight, the Clarets began excellently, with five victories from 11, beating both Manchester United and Everton 1-0. However, Burnley could only garner three wins from November onwards, as they were unable to get out of the bottom three. Despite defeating Spurs 4-2 on the final day, they ended up third bottom, five points away from West Ham. Photo: Jan Kruger

15. 2008-09: Hull City - 17th
Having seen off Bristol City in the final, under Phil Brown, Hull’s first ever season in the top flight saw them start like a train, with six wins from their opening nine matches, including five victories in a row, losing just once. From there the Tigers only picked up two more successes, losing seven of their last nine, but still had just about enough, as they managed to remain a point above Newcastle. Photo: Shaun Botterill

16. 2007-08: Derby County - 20th
A season to forget for the Rams, as they only won once all campaign, beating Newcastle 1-0 way back in September. That meant County set the record for a lowest points tally in the Premier League, finishing on just 11 points, as their relegation was confirmed on March 29, ending up a massive 25 points away from fourth bottom Fulham.
