Foley leave Wolves for FC Copenhagen

Former Luton Town defender Kevin Foley has joined Danish side FC Copenhagen after having his contract cancelled by Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 30-year-old, who was born in Luton and came through the ranks at Kenilworth Road, made 166 appearances for his hometown club, before joining Wolves for an undisclosed fee in August 2007.

His deal was due to expire in the summer and head coach Kenny Jackett said: “We thank Kevin for his excellent service to Wolves over many years.

“On behalf of everyone at Wolves I would like to wish him all the very best in his future career.”

Foley will now link up with ex-Wolves boss Ståle Solbakken, who is in charge of Copenhagen.
