Luton had been interested in acquiring the 22-year-old defender on a permanent basis over the summer, after he impressed during his time at Kenilworth Road last year, scoring twice in 39 games.

Prolonged talks eventually broke down though and Stephen O’Donnell signed instead from Partick Thistle, with Harriman then penning a new 12 month deal at Loftus Road last week.

However, despite R’s boss Chris Ramsay quoted as wanting to give Harriman a chance to finally break into the first team, he has now gone to the Chairboys, whom he spent a loan spell with prior to joining Luton.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth said: “I’ve kept a close eye on Michael ever since his first spell with us and always been impressed with the way he goes about his game.

“He can play in a number of positions, he’s got great talent on and off the ball and you always know you’ll get 100% effort and commitment from him. I’m really pleased to have him back.”
