Luton were beaten 4-3 by AFC Bournemouth on Wednesday night after letting a 3-0 half time lead slip away.
Tahith Chong, Chiedozie Ogbene and Ross Barkley had all found the net in the first period, only for the Cherries to reply with four goals of their own after the break and claim the points. To find out how the Hatters players rated on the evening, see below.
9. Tahith Chong: 7
Got the match off to the perfect start for Town, left unmarked to bury a close range header to open the Hatters account on the evening. Big role in the second period as well, unleashing an absolutely beautiful pass with the outside of his left boot for Doughty to find Ogbene and double the lead. With Town rocking after the break, thought he had made it 4-1 only to be caught marginally offside. Frustratingly, he took a nasty blow after being tackled which ended his evening with 15 still to go. Hopefully he can face Forest this weekend. Photo: Mike Hewitt
10. Chiedozie Ogbene: 6.5
The forward was a real livewire when Town were at their counter-attacking best in the first half, looking to get beyond his man whenever the chance arose. Perfecting his back post runs now as he was in the right place to turn home Doughty's pinpoint cross and add yet another goal to his own personal tally this term. Wasn't ever able to have the same effect in the second period as Bournemouth bossed things from almost the word go. Photo: Warren Little
11. Carlton Morris: 6.5
Was a real imposing player for Luton in the first half, as his hold-up play allowed Town to get up the pitch and have something of a breather when they broke down the Cherries attacks. Took the markers away for Clark to pick out Chong, as he almost reached a Kabore cross but for Mepham's diving intervention. Didn’t see anywhere near as much of the ball after the break as Bournemouth took over. His one chance saw the forward mistime a header from Doughty's cross, although Barkley should have still netted. 12. Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu (SUB): 6
With Luton having been pegged back to 3-3, he was given the rather thankless task of trying to steady the ship in the last 25 minutes. Did manage to add a bit of stability to the Hatters midfield as they kept Bournemouth at arm's length for a while, but the Cherries still had enough to win it. Photo: Liam Smith
