Luton saw their five match unbeaten run end in a whimper as they suffered a second heavy defeat at the hands of Birmingham City this season. The Blues led 1-0 at the break, before scoring twice in the second period to see off Nathan Jones' side and to find out how Town's players rated on the afternoon, see below.
5. Reece Burke: 5.5
Lost his footing for the first goal and unfortunate to get caught out within seconds of the restart when trying to intercept a ball forward, Taylor going through to double the lead. Did play some good raking crossfield passes when the chance arose.
6. Kal Naismith: 5
Unable to recover to clear Gardner’s cross which led to Bacuna slotting the hosts in front from close range. Went as close as any to halving the deficit for the visitors with a powerful run forward and shot that flew inches wide.
7. Allan Campbell (STAR MAN): 5.5
Got about the pitch well at times in the first half, running out of space before able to deliver his cross. With Luton trailing, he was the one making the runs past his forwards, slicing one decent chance wide and diverting another off target.
8. Henri Lansbury: 5
Should have got closer to Gardner and stopped him from having the room to set up Blues’ first goal. Unlucky that his touch wrongfooted Town's defence and left Taylor with a clear run for the killer second goal straight after the interval.
