Luton saw their five match unbeaten run end in a whimper as they suffered a second heavy defeat at the hands of Birmingham City this season. The Blues led 1-0 at the break, before scoring twice in the second period to see off Nathan Jones' side and to find out how Town's players rated on the afternoon, see below.
9. Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu: 5.5
Energy and commitment to the cause could never be questioned as he made some fine recovery runs to cut out the danger when City tried to launch a counter. Wasn’t able to have that much influence in an attacking sense though.
10. Harry Cornick: 5
Couldn’t ever really stretch the hosts defence in the manner he would have wanted as they coped with his threat fairly easily. Better touch might have seen him through in the second half as he toiled away on a tough afternoon.
11. Elijah Adebayo: 5.5
Had a few good moments in the opening 45 minutes as Luton looked to start strongly. That began to fade once City broke the deadlock though as he lack any real sights of goal. Did cover back to make clearance from his own line though.
12. Fred Onyedinma (SUB): 5
Did offer signs of life, as he tried to create space and bend his runs on the right hand side, but often wasn’t seen by his team-mates and the opportunity went begging.
