Luton went down to a 1-0 defeat at promotion-chasing Brentford on Wednesday night. Saman Ghoddos scored the only goal of 14 minutes to seal victory for the home side, although the Hatters deserved at least a point for their second half efforts, missing a host of chances. To find out how the visitors rated on the evening, see below.
5. Sonny Bradley: 8
Settled down after an opening 15 minutes where it looked like he would be under pressure for the duration, getting tighter to Toney. As Luton started to dominate, read the play well and was able to nip most danger in the bud to get Town going.
6. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall: 7.5
As against Bournemouth on Saturday, it was after the break that he began to shine once more, with his ability to move forward and shrug off opponents while maintaining possession a real strong point. Good array of passing too.
7. Luke Berry: 7
Found it hard to get into the game during the first period with Brentford the dominant force early on. Did have Town’s only effort on target in the opening 45 before making way in the second half.
8. Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu (STAR MAN): 8
A real driving force behind Town’s excellent second half performance as playing further upfield his tenacity ensured Brentford struggled to get out of their own half at times, winning the ball back high up to keep Luton on the front foot.
