Luton went down to a 1-0 defeat at promotion-chasing Brentford on Wednesday night. Saman Ghoddos scored the only goal of 14 minutes to seal victory for the home side, although the Hatters deserved at least a point for their second half efforts, missing a host of chances. 9. George Moncur: 7
Couldn’t really have a major influence on proceedings as Town were on the back foot in the first half, although stuck to his task well. Involved more after the break until replaced and one delicious cross was just over the head of Collins.
10. Harry Cornick: 7.5
Doing some many good things for Town at the moment, just lacking a goal for his efforts. One glancing header straight at Raya, but then wasted the best opportunity of the second half, missing his kick from close range.
11. James Collins: 7
Another goalless 90 minutes for Collins who has now gone seven games without scoring. Few crosses just out of his reach and then caught offside when denied by Raya. Looked bemused to be substituted midway through the second period.
12. Ryan Tunnicliffe (SUB): 7.5
Had a real impact from the bench as got stuck into the midfield battle to help Luton keep the foothold they had on the contest. Audacious backheeled volley almost beat Raya, only for the keeper to cling on.
