Luton ensured there was no repeat of last weekend's humiliation at the hands of Birmingham City with a battling goalless draw against Sheffield United on Saturday. The Hatters had the best chances throughout, but saw Fred Onyedinma's goal ruled out for offside and Harry Cornick hit the bar from close range. To find out how the hosts rated on the afternoon, see below.
5. Kal Naismith (STAR MAN): 9
Recovered from last weekend's drubbing with a high-class display. Early booking didn’t affect him as he led the back-line superbly, stepping out well too. Might have gone for goal rather than try and find a team-mate from Osho's cross though.
6. Gabe Osho: 8.5
Started a Championship clash in the holding midfield role for the first time in his fleeting career, but looked like he had been playing there a lot longer. Two terrific sliding tackles brought the crowd to life and his passing was tidy as well.
7. Allan Campbell: 7.5
Got through plenty of work in the first period as the Blades dominated possession but became far more of an influence after the break, when his pressing and energy was crucial in Luton starting to win the ball back higher up the pitch.
8. Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu: 7
Still not quite back to the domineering best he showed at times last term. The odd break looked threatening but didn’t ever really come to fruition while gave the ball away in some dangerous areas on the odd occasion too.
