Luton produced a disappointing display as they were beaten 2-1 by play-off chasing Barnsley on Monday afternoon. Striker Daryl Dike scored twice for the visitors as although Simon Sluga saved a late penalty and James Collins pulled one back, Town couldn't find an equaliser. To find out how the hosts rated on the afternoon, see below.
9. Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu: 3.5
Largely innocuous for the majority as offered very little in terms of an attacking threat for the Hatters, while was never able to get his foot on the ball and allow Luton some breathing space as they were smothered by their opponents.
10. Sam Nombe: 4
Full debut for the club alongside Adebayo and although there were signs of promise at the start, it soon evaporated as he was forced to feed on scraps throughout as Luton went too long too often. Replaced at half time.
11. Elijah Adebayo: 4.5
Well handled by the visiting defence as he didn’t gain any real sights at goal throughout. One nice run and piece of trickery led to a moment of danger in the visitors’ box, but that was about it as he was swapped for Collins once more.
12. Sonny Bradley (SUB): 4.5
Good to see him back following a thigh injury to boost Town’s defensive options for the remainder of the season. Was booked early on for a foul on Dike and then beaten far too easily by Woodrow for the crucial second goal.
