Carlton Morris scored his 16th goal of the season as Luton made it three successive wins by seeing off Bristol City at Kenilworth Road last night.
The hosts cut the gap on third placed Middlesbrough to just a single point with nine games of the campaign to go when Town’s leading scorer headed home Cody Drameh’s cross after just five minutes.

Was reduced to being a spectator in the first half such was the Hatters' dominance in the opening 45 minutes. Busier after the break, but only slightly, able to stop Weimann’s low shot and then gather both Scott and Cornick’s effort that were straight at him. Definitely his best outing in a Luton shirt so far. Absolutely wonderful cross for Morris with five minutes gone for the striker to head home what turned out to be the winner. With Town in the ascendancy for long periods, he could venture forward with real confidence. Demonstrated his passing ability with one searching ball from deep setting up Adebayo for a chance, while a delicious dinked cross after the break saw Morris denied by O’Leary. Loves going up against and beating Bristol City due to his Rovers connections and thoroughly enjoyed the victory on the night. Far too clever and canny for the visiting attackers, relishing his mini spat with Wells in the first half. 5. Amari’i Bell: 9
Must be in the form of his life under Edwards as he oozed class on the night once more. Brought the ball out well and always eager to break the lines, finding his team-mates with some neat passes inside. Nipped in to win the ball back when pressing his opponents too, particularly former team-mate Cornick. Hopefully late ankle knock is nothing serious. Photo: Liam Smith

One of only two changes from the victory at Sheffield United as he gave Luton a real impetus on the left, Town looking dangerous on either wing all evening. Crossing was slightly off from his usual high class deliveries and might gave been sprung clear in the second period, but unfortunately wasn't seen. 7. Marvelous Nakamba: 9
Didn’t heed the advice from a few to shoot when the ball dropped to him, preferring to find Drameh who then crossed for Morris to score. Did have a pop himself later, seeing his attempt deflect wide, but once again was a big part of the victory. Read the game well and more often than not chose the right option when in possession as Luton don't concede from open play when he's in the side. Photo: Liam Smith

With Luton starting on the front foot, his energy was vital in ensuring they remained there for the majority, never giving the Robins’ midfielders a second. Kept the highly-rated Scott on the periphery as he didn't run out of steam after the break even if his team-mates started to tire in the closing stages, able to prevent City from ever taking control.
