Luton saw their Championship campaign get off to a nightmare start as they were hammered 4-1 by Burnley at Kenilworth Road last night.
The Hatters trailed 2-0 at the break, as although Tahith Chong pulled one back early in the second half, they conceded twice more allowing the Clarets ran out comfortable winners. To find out how the Town players rated on a disappointing night, see below.

9. Tahith Chong: 6
Boss Edwards is expecting a big season from his skillful attacker and the buzz whenever he gets on the ball is audible, Luton's fans just waiting to see what he can produce. Well marshalled by Burnley early on, the Clarets clearly having done their homework, but as the game began to open up, he started to take up some good positions. One shot blocked and sent another miles over, he then judged his run perfectly to open his and Town's account for the season to halve the deficit. Crucially it was Burnley who got the next goal though to burst any dreams of a comeback. Photo: David Horn

10. Elijah Adebayo: 5
After a bright start in which he charged down a clearance and looked to put pressure on visiting keeper Trafford, he could never show the kind of threat that was expected following his superb second half of the Premier League season. One curler was straight at the Clarets keeper and did hit the bar in the second period when the England youth international flapped at a cross, but those moments were too few and far between. Hopefully just needs to shake off the cobwebs and become the physical presence that scared a whole host of top flight defenders last term. Photo: David Horn

11. Carlton Morris: 5
Will have set his sights on a sizeable haul for Luton this term having scored 20 on his last time in the Championship, but didn't really look like finding the net on the night as most of his work was done outside the area. Attempted to hold things up for the hosts, drawing a number of fouls from the Clarets in the process, but Town couldn't ever really make the most of the opportunities that followed. Tried his luck at times when others were better placed, the captain will be hoping this is one evening that is forgotten about fairly quickly in the coming weeks. Photo: David Horn

12. Andros Townsend (SUB): 6
The game had been crying out for changes when Luton had got it back to 2-1 and Burnley were starting to get on top once more. It took until O'Shea added to the lead for Townsend to come on, as the fourth arrived almost immediately afterwards. Despite only having the last 10 minutes, the winger showed some fight to try and create any kind of consolation, getting on the ball and looking to send it into the box as soon as he could.
