Luton Town edged past Cardiff City at Kenilworth Road last night to climb out of the Championship relegation zone.
Jacob Brown scored the only goal of the game on 57 minutes, and to find out how the Hatters rated during the evening, see below.

9. Tahith Chong: 6
After impressing against WBA last time out, this was a tougher evening for Chong who was well marshalled by a disciplined visiting defence, quick to surround him and suffocate any real influence he could have, referee Donohue not giving him much either he looked to take contact and go to ground. His passing was still on point though, with a near 95% success rate, but with Town in front, the winger was replaced by Baptiste in a bid to bolster Luton's midfield for the latter stages. 10. Jacob Brown: 6.5
Second start of the season for the forward as he came in for Adebayo and had a crack early on, seeing his shot easily saved by Alnwick. Hadn't looked like he was going to make too much of an imprint on the game, not always able to hold the ball up, with City's defence keeping both him and Morris at bay. Demonstrated his predatory instincts though with some excellent movement and a fine leap to meet Doughty's corner, sending his thumping header crashing into the net off the underside of the bar for what turned out to be the winner. Quickly replaced on the hour mark in what looked a pre-arranged substitution Photo: David Horn

11. Carlton Morris: 6.5
Early sprint down the left flank saw him pick out Brown for an opening which was saved as he gave his all in trying to get hold of the ball and give Luton a foothold. Couldn't quite believe Town weren't awarded a penalty when his volley from Doughty's free kick was handled by Chambers, referee Donohue adding salt to the wounds by booking him for his complaints. With Luton's confidence buoyed by the opening, he began to link play well with his overlapping team-mates, and gave a real captain's display when vocally geeing his side up to get over the line late on. 12. Elijah Adebayo (SUB): 7
Terrific late cameo from the forward as after replacing Brown for the final half an hour, he immediately won some flick-ons, unveiled his nutmegs and occupied the visiting defence brilliantly, giving them something else to think about. Unable to quite meet Doughty's cross to add a pressure relieving second, and just didn't have the pace to escape after a wonderful dummy on half-way, but importantly should be fresh for the trip to the Riverside Stadium this weekend now.
