Luton suffered a bitterly disappointing 2-1 defeat to Wigan Athletic on Saturday.
Town had led 1-0 with just 10 minutes to go thanks to Carlton Morris’s third goal of the season, only to concede twice in the closing stages, Tom Lockyer putting through his own net and then Thelo Aasgaard curling home from 20 yards.

Skipper didn’t do a great deal wrong during the contest as for the majority, Luton defended their box well, the Latics barely venturing into the home side’s area. However, a poor and unforeseen final 10 minutes meant the Hatters are left somehow still searching for a first win. Photo: Liam Smith

6. Amari’i Bell: 6.5
After a dominant first hour or so, he paid the price for a poor clearance by his own corner flag with 10 minutes remaining, Nyambe picking up the rebound to find Lang who made it 1-1 via Lockyer's inadvertent deflection. Tried to set up a winner but with Luton caught out pushing too many men forward, Wigan snatched the points. Photo: Liam Smith

7. Luke Freeman: 7
Following a quiet opening half hour, he got the crowd going with a surging run forward and powerful drive that Amos tipped over. Corners caused problems as always, involved in the set-piece that Town took the lead from. Didn’t have the impact he would have wanted after the break, but can't have expected his side to gift the points away late on. Photo: Liam Smith

One of three players involved as Luton worked a short corner well to find Bree, Morris doing the rest. Showed plenty of energy to get on the ball and try to find his men as the Hatters looked on course for victory. Taken off at 1-1 and could only watch from the sidelines as the Latics scored late on.
