Luton ground out a battling 2-1 win against Bristol City during their Championship clash at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday night. The hosts had led 1-0 through Tom Lockyer's first goal for the club, before Andreas Weimann levelled in the second period. Town weren't to be denied though, Elijah Adebayo netting his 12th of the season to win it, and to find out how the hosts rated on the evening, see below.
5. Gabe Osho: 7
Big ask to come in for a first start since November 7 in the heart of Town’s back three with both Bradley and Burke missing. Doggedly stuck to his task well throughout the evening against Weimann, winning some important headers.
6. Kal Naismith: 7
Brilliant clearing header from underneath his own bar early on, while his combination with Bree led to the opening goal. Led the side well and did the simple things effectively as Town’s much-changed defence kept things tight enough.
7. Glen Rea: 6
Another one thrust into action with barely any football of note behind him and found it tough to get to the pace of the game, giving the ball away at times. Didn’t duck the battle though, always there to try and block and harass his opponents.
8. Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu: 6.5
Always happy to receive the ball under pressure and look to commit players as he tried to get Luton moving. Quick to the edge of the box to block a fierce drive from Massengo as Town defended their goal courageously.
