Luton ended their run of back-to-back defeats by beating Coventry City 2-0 at Kenilworth Road last night. James Bree's first ever senior goal gave Town the lead midway through the first half, before Elijah Adebayo's penalty just before the break sealed victory. To find out how the hosts rated on the evening, see below.
9. Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu: 7
Recovered from what looked like a painful early injury when over-stretching as he went on to give an all-action display. Particularly good at picking up second balls allowing Luton to make their extra man advantage count.
10. Harry Cornick: 7.5
Was Town’s main threat in the first half as he used his pace well against the visiting defence. Picked out Bree with a terrific cross for the opener and then saw his shot handled on the line for Luton’s penalty. Needs to stay onside more though.
11. Elijah Adebayo
His aerial dominance caused City keeper Wilson some real issues, beating the stopper to Dewsbury-Hall's cross for Cornick to win the penalty. Took the spot-kick with real coolness and led the line impressively yet again.
12. Sam Nombe (SUB): 5
First outing since January and it was an eventful one, immediately scything down a City defender to see yellow and then fluffing a magnificent chance to open his Luton account, shooting straight at Wilson from close range.
