Luton continued their superb start to the season with a fourth win in all competitions, defeating Derby County 2-1 in the Championship on Saturday. Luke Berry's first half goal set them on their way, with substitute Jordan Clark coming off the bench to score a late winner. To find out how the hosts rated on the afternoon, see below.
1. Simon Sluga: 7.5
Once again, wasn’t overly tested as Town’s back-line kept their opponents down to three shots on goal. Absolutely crucial save at 1-1 though, racing from his goal to deny Hector-Ingram as had that gone, in the tide may have turned.
2. Martin Cranie: 7.5
Dependable once more, the experienced pro gave a tidy display in the first half at right back. Showed why his versatility is so important, slotting into the holding role for the second period when Rea was forced off.
3. Rhys Norrington-Davies: 8
Kept Rams new boy Jozwiak quiet for the first half as Town produced a dominant performance. Had to dig in after the break, but still had the energy and quality to get forward and pick out the perfect cross for Clark to win it.
4. Matty Pearson: 8
Excellent block to stop Marriott from equalising in the first period, and also prevented the striker from having another effort after the break, as his positioning was to prove spot on.
