Luton continued their superb start to the season with a fourth win in all competitions, defeating Derby County 2-1 in the Championship on Saturday. Defender was back on the left of the back three this time, having been moved to the right at Blackburn, as he managed to lock down the Rams forwards in the first half, Derby never really showing any signs of scoring. Did well to clear the danger away when the visitors ventured forward more regularly after the break, but saved his most important touch of the night for the 89th minute when the centre half unwittingly deflected Mpanzu's volley in for his first goal in over three years as it gave Luton the equaliser that had looked beyond them. 6. Victor Moses: 4
Didn’t ever really look like repeating the kind of performance he had produced last time out when starring on home soil against Stoke, Town's moves often breaking down, with his final ball lacking too. The one time he did really look to break forward, he showed how dangerous he can be, earning a free kick when being brought down by Phillips for a booking. Although attacking-wise things didn’t really flow, he did his defensive duties, making an important block in the second period from Elder's shot to prevent Kaminski being tested. 7. Tom Krauß: 6
Was one of a few who was having a real impact on the fixture in the first period as he stopped a fair few Derby counters with some important and well timed one v one tackles which helped Luton get on the front foot themselves, sending one ball up the wing for Chong to race on to. After the break he swung over a good first time cross for Adebayo to head narrowly wide, but his distribution wasn't quite as secure as he would have wanted, giving the ball away on occasion, particularly for the Rams’ goal. 8. Jordan Clark: 6.5
Midfielder continued his improved form of late, as his set-pieces caused danger early, picking out the run of Morris who put his free header frustratingly wide of the target. Did so again in the second period when the forward's effort was quite brilliantly saved by the Rams keeper. More often than not, was neat and tidy on the ball when Luton had their possession, although not much came off at all for the hosts once they fell behind, until late on when he had been replaced by Nelson.
