Luton Town’s FA Cup run was ended for another year by a blistering Erling Haaland, as he scored five goals for Manchester City during their 6-2 victory at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday night.
Mateo Kovacic was also on target for the visitors as the Hatters’ who managed two wonderful strikes of their own from midfielder Jordan Clark, were dumped out. To find out how the hosts rated on the evening, see below.

Centre half had started fairly well on the night, showing some good body swerves and feints to get away from his markers when pressurised deep inside his own half. With Luton 2-0 down though, he then picked up an injury and after trying to run it off, realised he couldn’t as his evening was unfortunately ended before the break. Photo: Liam Smith
6. Alfie Doughty: 6
Threatened early on with two excellent crosses from the left hand side that Morris just couldn’t make the most of. After that though, City were able to cut down the areas in which he was able to work for the majority of the evening. After the break he dropped back to a slightly deeper position, which allowed Johnson to move further forward, but it was a tough ask to stop City in that vein of form. Photo: Liam Smith
7. Ross Barkley: 7.5
Never allowed to replicate the same kind display he had managed during the league encounter as City took control from the word go, able to pass it around and through Luton's midfield and back-line with relative ease. Still managed to grab two assists on the night though, the second when he displayed some brilliant vision to find Clark to double his own personal tally. Almost notched as well, his curler producing a terrific fingertip save from Ortega at full stretch. Photo: Liam Smith
8. Jordan Clark (STAR MAN): 7.5
Unfortunate slip in the first period saw City take devastating advantage, opening the scoring with their first attack. At 3-0 down and starting down the barrel, the midfielder was the main reason why Luton made a game of it though, firing a quite wonderful curler into the top corner on the stroke of half time to definitely claim the goal of the night award. Another terrific finish early in the second period when he rifled into the roof of the net, but then the visitors took over once more. Photo: Liam Smith
