Luton secured their place in the second round of the Carabao Cup with a 3-1 win over Norwich City on Saturday. Striker James Collins netted a 16-minute hat-trick to send Town through and to find out how the impressive hosts rated on the day, see below.
5. Sonny Bradley: 8.5
Captain carried on his fine form from the end of last season with another authoritative display at the heart of Town’s defence. Intelligently went a bit longer in the second period as he looked to release Cornick when possible.
6. Glen Rea: 8
Anchored the midfield expertly as he ensured City couldn’t ever really break through Town’s back-line despite having plenty of possession. Had one sight of a rare goal late on as well, only to lash well wide.
7. Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu: 9
Looked to get in a number of more advanced positions as he won the penalty and then teed up Collins for his second. Dinked a lovely ball over the top for Clark to race away and find Town's top scorer to wrap the game up too.
8. Luke Berry: 7.5
Got through plenty of work in the midfield as he ensured Luton kept the ball well when they managed to get a hold of it. Set-pieces led to a few chances as well, mainly in the first period.
