Luton suffered a bitterly disappointing defeat to Reading in League One last night.
The Hatters had trailed 2-0 to Lewis Wing’s penalty and a fine strike by former player Jack Marriott, only to hit back and level thanks to goals from Jordan Clark and Nigel Lonwijk. However they were then breached again when substitute Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan went through to win it and to find out how the visiting players rated on the evening, see below.

13. Jacob Brown (SUB): 4.5
Had the last 25 minutes plus stoppage time as Town were able to get back on level terms soon after his arrival, only to then give away another soft goal to end up trailing 3-2. Tried to get involved in the Hatters' build-up play but as most of it was concentrated on the wings, it cut down his impact, touching the ball just nine times during his outing. 14. Jerry Yates (SUB): 4.5
On as part of a double sub with Brown, but although he looked busier during his cameo, had even less touches of the ball while out there. Was in and around the box when the ball was played back to Lonwijk to hammer home a beauty, but disappointingly never looked like finding the net himself. Photo: Andy Fitzsimons

15. George Saville (SUB): 6
Dropped to the bench for the first time since Wilshere took over as manager and came on for the final five minutes as the last throw of the dice with Luton searching for an equaliser. Immediately tried to get in and amongst things and move the ball forward for the Hatters as it looked like he had drawn his side level with almost the last kick, only to miss the target by a matter of inches with keeper Pereira rooted to the spot. 16. Zack Nelson (SUB): 5
Young midfielder came on with Saville for the final moments but try as they might, Town couldn't find another equaliser in the closing stages. Photo: Paul Harding
