Luton ended a run of two straight defeats with an excellent 1-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday. Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu's goal with 16 minutes remaining was enough for Nathan Jones' side to emerge victorious, the midfielder rifling into the bottom corner just moments after the Owls were reduced to 10 men. To find out how the visitors rated on the afternoon, see below.
1. Simon Sluga: 7
Looked calm and confident in everything he did, which wasn’t a great deal on the day with Wednesday sending little his way. Good punch clear in the second half on the way to a third clean sheet of the season.
2. Martin Cranie: 7.5
Got to grips with Kachunga after he looked to be a dangerous proposition for the Owls during the first period. Relieved to see late calls for a penalty turned down when he and Harris got caught in a tangle of legs inside the area.
3. Rhys Norrington-Davies: 8
Perfect response to a disappointing outing at Millwall as he showed bags of energy to gallop away on the left when possible. His dangerous cross led to Mpanzu’s winner as another clipped the bar. Tight defensively as well.
4. Sonny Bradley: 8
The perfect way to mark his 100th appearance for the Hatters as he picked up his favourite result in football, a 1-0 away win. Solid and dependable, the captain helped limit Wednesday to very little in terms of clear-cut chances.
