Luton suffered another hugely disappointing trip to Stevenage on Thursday night, going down to a 2-1 defeat.
The hosts took the lead through Dan Kemp’s controversial goal in the first half, before an offside Josh Magennis doubled the advantage in the second period. Although Mads Andersen pulled one back, Town couldn’t find a leveller, and to find out how the Hatters players rated, see below.

1. Josh Keeley: 3
Appears to have some kind of problem now with shots from range to his right as, similarly to Reading when Marriott scored, he had to do so much better after Kemp had a go from 22 yards, the ball almost going through his hands and flying into the corner to give Stevenage something to hold on to. Clearly rocked by this, he then came rashly out of his area to try and head a long ball away, only to misjudge it as it bounced over him, helped out by the covering Odoffin, who was lucky to avoid a red card. Failed to be tested again following that until the 70th minute when Broggio escaped on the left, deflecting his cross-shot against the offside Magennis for the second. Improvements needed. 2. Izzy Jones: 4.5
One of many who appeared to be on the verge of a good performance early on, sprinting away inside the first five minutes to fire in a cross, as Town looked capable of scoring every time they attacked. Once that was halted, he was on the wrong side of the referee's calls, giving away a few dubious free kicks that allowed Boro to send the ball into the box. Up against the rather lumbering Freestone, he saw his team-mates turn down the chance to unleash him when sprinting over the halfway line, cutting a frustrated figure when that continually happened after the interval. When he was finally found, didn't really commit inside the area, often turning back, while his final ball was also disappointing. Photo: David Rogers

3. Hakeem Odoffin: 3.5
Centre half found it tough going on the night up against the imposing Magennis and tricky Kemp as well. Got himself in a muddle when Freestone launched the ball forward, as with Keeley caught in no man's land, could count himself unlucky when he tangled with Kemp, who appeared to be through on goal, referee Humphries clearly bottling the decision to brandish a red card having already failed to spot the foul on Walsh. In the second period, with Luton trying to level, he was then left one-on-one with Broggio, failing to stop the Aston Villa loanee from going on the outside of him and seeing his cross-shot deflect off Keeley and into the net by an offside Magennis. 4. Mads Andersen (STAR MAN): 5
Able to sprint back when Magennis appeared offside to slide in and clear the danger away, as he made the most defensive contributions from anyone on the pitch throughout the evening. Not sure he knew much, if anything, about his first goal of the season, inadvertently deflecting Palmer’s volley beyond a wrongfooted Setford to give the Hatters a chance. Tried his best to at least show some ambition with his distribution, often picking out a midfielder when passing through the lines, and the only one in the back-line who looked to get the Hatters going in the closing stages, some impressive raking passes to either flank, which begged the question as to why it wasn't done earlier.
