To find out how the visitors rated on another memorable evening, see below.
9. Danny Hylton: 7.5
Played in a deeper role with Luton struggling for midfielders, but did his job during a tough first half. Showed his quality after the break though with a great run and excellent first time finish to open the scoring. Game management spot on too.
10. Harry Cornick: 8
Not much came off in the first half, but something changed at the break as he came out a different player. Caused havoc when running at the Stoke defence and excellent cross led to Hylton’s opener, also sending Adebayo away too.
11. Elijah Adebayo 7.5
Was the only attacker to really cause City any problems in the first period, using his body well to hold play up. Had some glorious chances after the break to seal victory, unable to beat Bursik when clean through, also denied by two last-ditch tackles.
12. Cameron Jerome (SUB): 7.5
Came on against his former side after Cornick had to go off and took just six minutes to find space in the box and neatly finish Naismith's cross for a crucial second goal that gave Luton some breathing space.
