Keeper Simon Sluga picked up the Player of the Season award at the Luton Town Supporters' Trust presentation night recently after a fine campaign between the posts for the Hatters. . Gary Doherty: 1999-2000
Defender played 48 games for the Hatters during the season, scoring nine goals as Luton finished 13th in Division Two.
. Matthew Taylor: 2000-01
Made a hefty 54 appearances for the Hatters, scoring just the once as Town ended up relegated out of Division Two.
. Steve Howard: 2001–02
Bagged an impressive 24 goals in 43 games as Luton bounced back immediately, winning promotion from Division Three by finishing second.
. Chris Coyne: 2002-03
Australian centre half played 44 times, scoring once for the Hatters as they consolidated in the Second Division again with a ninth place finish.
. Emmerson Boyce: 2003-04
Defender popped up with five goals in his 49 appearances as Luton were 10th in Division Two that term.
. Kevin Nicholls: 2004-05
Skipper was an inspirational leader for the Hatters during the season as he scored 14 goals in 47 matches, leading Town to the League One title.
. Markus Heikkinen: 2005-06
Popular Finn played 40 games for Luton, scoring twice, as they enjoyed a fine return to the Championship, with their best position in recent seasons, ending up in 10th place.
. Leon Barnett: 2006-07
Defender turned out 43 times, with three goals to his name, but couldn’t save the club from relegation, as they finished second bottom in the table.
. Keith Keane: 2007–08
Breakthrough season for the homegrown midfielder as he played 34 times, scoring once, although Luton ended up relegated from League One and were hit with a 10-point deduction.
