Signed from Northampton in March 2001 for 50k, he had a superb five years with Luton, scoring 103 goals in 228 games. Left for Derby in July 2006, with the Rams paying 1m for his services.

Moved to Kenilworth Road from Wrexham in May 2005, as he scored eight goals in 74 matches for the Hatters, snapped up by Sunderland for 1.4m in January 2007.
