Luton Town signed Barnsley defender Mads Andersen on Monday for an undisclosed fee, furthering their connection with the Oakwell club.
Since 2013, 19 players have represented both teams, with one of them going on to manage the Hatters too.

Joined Barnsley back in 2019 from Danish side Horsens and made 175 appearances for the Tykes, scoring six goals during his four years at Oakwell. . Rob Edwards
After being released by Blackpool at the end of the 2010-11 campaign, Edwards moved to Barnsley in the summer, playing 18 matches in his two years with the club. . Carlton Morris
Forward was snapped up by Barnsley from Norwich in January 2021, as he played 55 times, scoring 16 goals, including netting one against Luton at Kenilworth Road. Became Town’s then club record signing in July 2022 and had a stunning debut season, becoming the first Hatters player to notch 20 second tier goals since Brian Stein in the 1981-82 campaign. . Cauley Woodrow
After coming through the ranks at Kenilworth Road, the attacker moved to Barnsley from Fulham on loan in August 2018, then making the move permanent the following summer. Great time with the Tykes, scoring 53 goals in 157 outings before Luton pounced last summer, paying an undisclosed fee to bring him back to Town. Has played 37 matches in total with three goals. . Harry Isted
Goalkeeper moved to Luton in July 2017 after leaving Stoke City and managed six first team appearances in that time, including a starring role on his debut against Chelsea in the FA Cup. Went to Barnsley on loan in January, featuring 22 times, excelling in the League One play-off final defeat to Sheffield Wednesday. . Jordan Clark
Another who came through at Barnsley in May 2011 as after some loan spells away, left in July 2014 for Shrewsbury Town having played just seven times. Eventually joined Luton from Accrington in August 2020 and has now made 111 appearances, with nine goals, including at Wembley as Luton beat Coventry City on penalties in the Championship play-off final recently. 17. Paddy McCourt
Moved to Barnsley from Celtic in August 2013, playing 23 games and scoring two goals. Arrived at Luton after leaving Brighton in July 2015, with 25 outings, netting one goal, as he moved on the following summer. Now runs a Talent Development Academy in Northern Ireland. Photo: Hatters Heritage

18. Nathan Doyle
Moved to Barnsley on loan from Hull in September 2009, making the move a permanent one in the following January. Played 100 times with two goals as he left for Bradford in August 2012. 19. Alfie Mawson
Went on loan to Luton from Brentford in December 2013, playing one half of Blue Square Bet Premier football in the 5-0 win at Alfreton. Signed for Barnsley on a free in June 2015, as he made 64 appearances, scoring nine goals. That led to a £5m move to Swansea and then a deal to sign for Fulham costing £20m.
