Luton Town U18s enjoyed an excellent 2-0 win over Oxford United on Saturday.

The youngsters threatened early on when Ben Stevens cross was met by Aidan Francis, who headed against the post.

The Hatters then took the lead on 17 minutes when Tyrelle Newton won possession just inside United’s half and found Ed McJannet who drove forward and finished excellently into the bottom corner from outside the box.

Town brought on Eddie Corbit and Jack Bateson in the second period, while keeper Jameson Horlick ensured they kept their advantage with some fine saves.

Luton then made sure of the victory with three minutes remaining, Josh Allen bursting down the left and crossing for Stevens to apply a clinical first time finish.
