After the first game finished 1-1 at White Hart Lane, some 49,500 crammed into St Andrews to see Billy Bingham's goal send the Hatters through to Wembley, where they were ultimately beaten by Nottingham Forest. 5. Syd Owen
One of Towns finest, he spent 12 years with the club, playing 423 times and also winning three England caps. Skippered the team to the cup final where they were defeated by Nottingham Forest.
6. Dave Pacey
Bagged twice in the competition, firstly in the 5-2 win over Ipswich and then grabbed Towns goal in the final as well, as they were defeated 2-1 by Nottingham Forest.
7. Billy Bingham
Scored the only goal of the game, rifling home Allan Browne's cross into the roof of the net. Was Town's top scorer in the competition, with six strikes from nine games, including two against Leeds United in the third round.
8. Allan Brown
Set up the winner on the day, as he also bagged some important goals. Netted a hat-trick as Leicester were defeated 4-1, scored the winner as Luton beat Blackpool, plus the only goal in the 1-1 semi-final draw with Norwich.
