After the first game finished 1-1 at White Hart Lane, some 49,500 crammed into St Andrews to see Billy Bingham's goal send the Hatters through to Wembley, where they were ultimately beaten by Nottingham Forest. Was on target earlier on in the competition, as he scored in the 5-1 hammering of Leeds and then grabbed two as Ipswich were thrashed 5-2 at Portman Road in round five on Valentines Day.
10. George Cummins
Inside forward, an Irish international, who joined the Hatters from Everton, becoming an important member of the Town team, scoring 30 goals in his 209 appearances.
11. Tony Gregory
Scored four times in Town's run to the final, as he notched a brace in the opening 5-1 win over Leeds and then was on target in the 4-1 triumph over Leicester and 5-2 success against Ipswich.
