After the first game finished 0-0 at Upton Park, 13,166 packed into Kenilworth Road to see attacker Scott Oakes net a superb hat-trick to see off their top-flight opponents and reach a semi-final against Chelsea at Wembley, where they edged out 2-0. 9. RW: Paul Telfer
Midfielder had scored the only goal as Luton beat Southend in the third round to kickstart their excellent run in the competition. Another who topped 50 appearances in the season for Town.
10. FW: Kerry Dixon
Started five games for the side, also coming off the bench in the 2-1 win over Cardiff. Played a vital role in the Derby victory, setting up Oakes for two of his goals with some clever link-up play.
11. FW: Scott Oakes
Star of the show with a magnificent hat-trick as Town beat their top flight rivals. Clinical finishes for the first and second, before he brought the house down with a sensational third. Bagged five goals in total during the run.
12. SUB: Tony Thorpe
Made two appearances in the FA Cup, starting at Newcastle, as he scored Town's goal in the 1-1 draw. Came off the bench in the 2-1 home win, but wasn't used afterwards.
