The Hatters looked to have been on the verge of claiming a point when Harry Cornick equalised Kristian Pedersen's first half strike with one of his first touches midway through the second period. However, Lukas Jutkiewiecz then popped up late on to win it for City, with a controversial header. Read below how the Town players rated on the afternoon.
5. Luke Bolton 5.5
Restored to the starting line-up once more but with City enjoying the lion's share of possession and territory, he had little change when trying to get forward on the right hand side, eventually replaced by Collins.
6. Dan Potts: 6
Didnt feature much offensively this week as the Hatters tried to ensure they stayed in the game until reinforcements arrived. Found it tough preventing the stream of crosses entering Luton's area from the flank.
7. Ryan Tunnicliffe: 6
Rare off day since joining in the summer as he was caught in possession at times, Luton running into trouble on more than one occasion. Saw one shot deflected behind, and then made way for Cornick.
8. Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu: 6.5
Found it hard at times with a number of Blues opponents often snapping at his heels. Should have cleared his lines rather than trying to run the ball out for the opener. Improved as the game wore on though.
