After a wonderful great escape by the Hatters as they stayed in the Championship against all the odds, Luton fans have chosen their Goal of the Season. The Luton News ran a online poll recently in which fans had their say and to see just which strike was crowned winner, see the results, in ascending order, below.
5. James Collins: Swansea City (A) - 1%
Luton's top scorer netted the only goal of the game at Swansea in imperious fashion, climbing highest to power his header from Izzy Brown's cross into the bottom corner.
6. Elliot Lee: Huddersfield (A) - 1%
The attacker netted his first league goal of the season in some style, picking up the rebound when James Collins' shot hit the post and hammering into the top corner.
7. Alan Sheehan: Cardiff City (A) - 2%
Fans favourite at Kenilworth Road, he scored the last of an impressive scrapbook of goals for the Hatters, dispatching his free kick into the top corner as Luton picked up an impressive cup win in Wales.
8. Harry Cornick: QPR (A) - 2%
Town looked dead and buried at 3-0 down inside 30 minutes, before Harry Cornick gave them a lifeline, seizing on an error from the Rangers keeper and expertly curling into the unguarded net from long range.
