George claims brilliant Gatecrasher win

A KNOCKOUT victory earned Ross George the fight of the night accolade at the Gatecrasher event in Birmingham on Sunday evening.

George, 28, from the Kaang Raang Thai Boxing Gym in Dunstable, claimed a brilliant victory over Thai fighter Johng Aan sor Chang Kow during the penultimate bout of the evening.

The match was an A class bout where knees and elbows to the head are allowed.

George came out strongly from the bell and landed a perfect head kick in the second round as his opponent took an eight count.

By the fourth round George was in complete control and landed a heavy kick to Chang Kow’s mid-section. This was followed by a brutal left body hook that finished the fight.

The bout was voted fight of the night and sets George up nicely for his fight in November for the Commonwealth title in Bedford.
